GT Radial has capped off an outstanding 2026 Formula DRIFT season, securing its first Drivers' Championship title alongside the Tire Cup and Rookie of the Year honors.

GT Radial has marked a major milestone in its motorsports history as Irish driver Connor Shanahan claimed the 2026 Formula DRIFT Championship, delivering the brand its first-ever title in the series.

Shanahan's championship victory followed a closely contested season in which consistent performances and strong results kept him in contention for the title. The championship was ultimately decided in Long Beach, where he secured the points needed to finish at the top of the standings.

The Drivers' Championship was one of three major achievements for GT Radial in 2026. The brand also secured the Formula DRIFT Tire Cup, while fellow GT Radial driver Cole Richards was named Rookie of the Year.

A Season of Strong Performances

Competing against some of the best drivers in professional drifting, Shanahan maintained a strong championship challenge throughout the season. His ability to deliver consistent results across different circuits and driving conditions proved crucial in securing the title.
